Excellent discussion of The Lovers card, Mel! I love seeing the same card from several different decks. I need to do more of this type of post on my blog. Thanks so much for a great read containing much food for thought!

M., this is a lovely, lovely, *lovely* piece of writing, conflicted and fractured and deeply felt and REAL. Thank you for it—more, please? And a blessed 2012 to you—

The grocery store has got to be one of the most terrifying unnatural institutions we've created. Yes, there is no "freedom" in that choice. :(

I have a sourdough rising right now.

One day a few weeks ago, I stood at the grocery store and counted cereal types (I counted both different sizes of the same thing) and there were... oh... 135. But there were no large bags of unbleached flour from which I could make my own bread. All the grocery stores around here stopped carrying them at the same time. And then I collared my husband and had a rant about the industrial food system, the illusion of choice, and started crying in the grocery store because some dimbulb had managed to attain national media exposure saying that the Occupy Movement was laughable because we all had made the choices that put us at this point and all we had to do was exercise our "rights" as consumers.

It made sense at the time.

It's been a few months since you did this and I was just wondering if and when you would be offering the cards again. I am wanting to get my hands on your postmark deck. Thanks!

I just needed to vent some frustration! ;) I think checking the phones have become almost second nature for so many! It's scary to me. I'm guilty too -- and I fool myself into thinking it's somehow necessary for my business or in case something happens with my kids and I need to know/connect quickly. But really, I think it's closer to the instant gratification feeling that such feedback provides.

I agree that g+ is nice and much of that is because there's no farmville and the ilk. :) I admit I don't know how to use it to it's full potential though.

Dang girl! I can remember you just up and leaving last night - seemed early - and remember the heads bowed to the almighty phones all around you.

Not sure why you hit ME on the way out - I wasn't checking FB! :)

G+ is the ideal right now because there are intelligent people there talking about real things. With the deluge of people coming in to water down the conversations, I hope it can retain some level of what I consider the most ideal social network I've experienced thus far.

Your site looks great, and congratulations on figuring out what works for you and what doesn't...some folk never do and just keep flinging themselves at a wall they can't see.

All the best, Sharyn/AJ

Its good you believe in finding your bliss. Hoping you succeed in doing so. Only you can decide what your bliss is. There's no right bliss unless it feels right to you.
